Wellies? Cool? surely not!

Gone are the days of the humble wellington boot being merely a device to keep your feet dry and warm.  These days a fancy pair of wellies are a must have fashion accessory. You only have to set foot into a festival field (whether in baking sun or torrential rain) to see thousands of pairs of feet covered in a colourful array of designs.

This does however lead to the obvious question – how on earth did wellies become cool?

Not so many years ago many ‘fashion conscious’ people would not be seen dead wearing wellies at festivals or even while camping. Around the same time as festivals became fashionable for the masses (as opposed to just rebellious hippy types) a huge quantity of different more stylish welly designs (not coincidentally) appeared on the market.

As festivals became more mainstream and accessible and production costs came down more and more pairs of great looking wellies appeared on the scene.

We think the wellies in this catagory are  worth highlighting as being stand out pairs of Cool wellies!
