We are constantly amazed by the sheer range of great new welly designs being produced. These baseball and dinger boot style wellingtons pitch themselves above the rest!
The designs range from cotton candy coloured pink welly boots with a lime green lining and removable ‘fake’ laces through to red, blue, green and dark pairs that look extremely convincing.
We think these wellies are (pardon the pun) sure to be a home run!
Many people have found these red dinger wellies to be not only stylish but also comfy to wear.
People who own these wellies have also complimented the boots on the quality of their lining which helps to keep your feet dry. The biggest plus is the amount of attention you are likely to get in these striking boots!
Another fetching pair we just had to share are these cute green ankle length baseball wellies that create a similar effect but without being quite so long on hot summer days.
This more conventional pair below is unfortunately currently only available in children’s sizes. But all the other pairs are available in a wide range of women’s sizes.
So how have we ended up at the point where you can easily buy and find wellies inspired by baseball boots?
The short answer is that we can thank one Marquis Mills Converse, who first opened his welly Company way back in February 1908! His business manufactured winterized rubber soled footwear for use in bad weather. Who would have thought that the company now famed for their All Star trainers actually started out effectively making wellington boots.
The boots you can see above aren’t made by this company but we think it is great to know a little about the origins of our funky footwear!
