Bank Holiday weekend UK Festival round up.

wellies in mudAs we approach the August Bank Holiday weekend we take a quick look at some of the biggest and best festivals set to take place this weekend.  These are some of the best opportunities to turn a few heads with your eye catching wellies!

This rather fetching photo was taken at last year’s Green Man Festival and we can confirm that our wellies held out well.  If you are going to a festival this weekend fingers crossed you won’t see anything like this!

For those of you with a preference for all things dance related Creamfields takes place this weekend between 23rd to 25th August in Halton, Cheshire.  The line up includes The Prodigy, Knife Party and loads of live acts and DJs over the weekend.  You can find out more information here.

Welly Watch: Rain is forcast for Halton over the Friday, Saturday and Sunday so take your wellies!

The biggest festivals on this weekend are of course Reading and Leeds.  The lineup this year is a bit more diverse than usual and includes System of a Down, Deftones, Knife Party, Frightened Rabbit, British Sea Power and a whole host of great acts over the weekend.  Headliners this year are Green Day, Eminem and Biffy Clyro.

You can find more information out about Reading here and Leeds here.

Welly Watch: Reading promises to be a blistering 27 degrees on Friday so you probably won’t need your wellies (unless the ground is already saturated).  Saturday and Sunday however look like being on the wet side so take your wellies!  Leeds on the other hand will be a respectable 24 degrees on Friday but there will be rain up until Sunday where it becomes sunnier.  By then it will probably be rather soggy under foot so you’ll be testing out that cool pair of wellies probably more thoroughly than you hoped!

A great tip for when you do eventually find your way back home after your muddy festival of choice is to clean and pack away your wellies properly.  Yes we know it is a pain at the time but you won’t regret spending a few minutes looking after your boots for next year’s festival season.  We’ve got a simple guide to looking after and cleaning wellies you may like to read before you throw your wellies in a corner until next year.
